Thai Co. Starts Building $970-Million IP in Central Vietnam

WHA Hermaraj Nghe An JSC, a subsidiary of Thailand’s WHA Hermaraj Corporation PCL, on March 10 kicked off construction of an industrial park with an investment of 22 trillion dong ($$970 million).
The WHA Hermaraj - Nghe An Industrial Park will cover 3,200 hectares in Nghi Thuan commune, Nghi Loc district, and will be built in seven phases until 2028, reported.
The first phase of the project will expand 498 hectares at a cost of nearly $100 million, and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter this year.
This is the group’s first IP project in Vietnam, said David Nardone, vice chairman of WHA Corporation PLC.
As Vietnam is becoming an industrial hub in Asia, the IP is expects to attract investors from diverse industries such as automotive, apparel and textile, electronics, consumer goods, logistics, among others, he added.
